Organizational performance assessment in the hotel industry: a systematic review

Objetivo: este estudo tem como objetivo analisar como a hotelaria utiliza dados quantitativos para avaliar seu desempenho organizacional.
Delineamento/Metodologia/Abordagem: uma revisão sistemática (RS), com análise descritiva e informações críticas, é conduzida para desenvolver uma visão holística do tema e oferecer direções futuras de pesquisa.
Resultados: a revisão apresentou dados descritivos e temáticos, abrangendo trabalhos de eficiência ambiental, desempenho financeiro, análise social e medida global de desempenho na indústria hoteleira. O artigo mostra os principais tópicos/indicadores de pesquisa sobre avaliação de desempenho hoteleiro e propõe um caminho de pesquisa mais abrangente.
Implicações de pesquisa, práticas e sociais: as descobertas contribuem para os gestores de hotéis com soluções presentes em estudos científicos relevantes e com pesquisadores que apresentam lacunas de pesquisa nas principais áreas.
Originalidade/Valor: a revisão mostra o potencial para novas pesquisas em três áreas principais (econômica, ambiental e social). Além disso, uma importante e promissora área de pesquisa é apresentada: entender o papel de cada potencial componente no desempenho global dos hotéis.
